A Worldview Apart

Jun 6, 2018

Layla Abdel-Rahim is an anthropologist by training, and has lived, worked and traveled around the world. She has written two books that, along with her other work, critiques the epistemic foundation of culture that supports a human-centered view of the natural world. In this episode she and Eric talk about what attracted her to unschooling when her daughter was born, what unschooling means and how it worked for her, and how modern schooling diminishes people’s capacity for empathy, among other things.
