A Worldview Apart

Aug 29, 2018

Charis Boke is an herbalist, educator, community organizer and an anthropologist completing her PhD in Cultural Anthropology at Cornell University. She is also a Buddhist practitioner whose attention to the world is shaped by the transformative and the inexplicable. In this episode she and Eric talk about what it means to be a scholar practitioner, objectivity and bias, different levels of healing, moving away from thinking about the past as a model for a more desirable future, critiques of the Anthropocene, and how competitiveness handicaps us when we need to build cooperative relationships with others, among other things.
